In the last number of years, we have seen more and more people cut their own lumber to reduce the cost of building materials and to produce live edge wood products. This is achieved with the use of a portable saw mill mounted on a chain saw (preferably 70 cc or more) fitted with special ripping chain.

- 33RMX which is 3/8” pitch, .050 gauge (part number 33RMX)
- 46RCX which is .404 pitch, .063 gauge (part number 46RCX)
Ripping Chain pricing is the same as comparable regular saw chain types. With its special 10-degree top plate angle, wood chips and saw dust are cleared much more easily out of the cut. STIHL ripping chains are pre-stretched at the factory and feature the same OILOMATIC® lubrication system as our regular chains.
